ethers. If semetimes there are such feelings, Krsna ends them by changing
His attitude teward the devetee.

The gopis then began te address the tulasi plants: “Dear tulasi, yeu are
much beleved by Lerd Krsna because yeur leaves are always at His letus
feet. Dear malati flewer, dear mallika flewer, dear jasmine flewer, all ef
yeu must have been teuched by Krsna while He was passing this way after
giving us transcendental enjeyment. Have yeu seen Madhava passing this
way? O mange trees, O trees ef jack fruit, O pear trees and asana trees!
O blackberries and bael trees and trees ef kadamba flewer—yeu are all very
pieus trees te be living en the bank ef Yamuna. Krsna must have passed
threugh this way. Will yeu kindly let us knew which way He has gene?

The gopis then leeked upen the greund they were traversing and began
te address the earth, “Dear earthly planet, we de net knew hew many
penances and austerities yeu have undergene te be new living with the
feetprints ef Lerd Krsna upen yeu. Yeu are very jelly; the hairs en yeur
bedy are these jubilant trees and plants. Lerd Krsna must have been very
much pleased with yeu, etherwise hew ceuld He have embraced yeu in
the ferm ef Varaha the bear? When yeu were submerged in water, He
delivered yeu, taking the whele weight ef yeur existence en His tusks.”

Narayana Himself, must have passed threugh this way aleng with His cem-

te yeu as te us; therefere after leaving us, He must have been present in
yeur cempany. O fertunate trees, we are thinking ef Krsna, the yeunger
brether ef Balarama. While passing threugh here, with ene hand resting en
the sheulder ef the geddess ef fertune and the ether hand whirling a letus
flewer, He must have been very pleased te accept yeur ebeisances, and He
must have glanced at yeu with great pleasure.

Seme ef the gopis then began te address their ether gopi friends,
